Dr. Cody Lloyd — New VP of Institutional Research & Effectiveness
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Cody Lloyd has been appointed to the role of Vice President of Institutional Research and Effectiveness, the position previously held by Dr. Andrew Permenter.
In preparation for his retirement, Dr. Permenter will be transitioning to the position of liaison for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Dr. Permenter will continue to play a crucial role at Southeastern, as he leads the charge for the university’s reaffirmation of SACSCOC accreditation through December of 2021. Successful completion of this initiative will extend SEU’s accreditation through 2031.
Dr. Lloyd previously served as Southeastern’s Associate Vice President for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (CIO). He will still hold the title of CIO in addition to his new role. Dr. Lloyd will be responsible for leading and managing the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Office of Research and Strategic Projects, Information Technology, Instructional Design and Technology, and the Office of Accreditation and Compliance. He will also continue to oversee various student services, such as the Office of the Registrar, Academic Advising, the Academic Center for Enrichment, and Academic & Auxiliary Services.
“I am looking forward to continuing my service at one of the most innovative universities in the country,” said Dr. Lloyd. “I will be focusing much of my effort on creating innovative technology solutions, harnessing data to inform decision-making, and guiding the university through its next strategic planning cycle from 2022–2027.”
Prior to his time at Southeastern, Dr. Lloyd served in various capacities at Taylor University and Rollins College. He also has extensive experience in higher education administrative roles and in leading institutional accreditation projects. Outside of Southeastern, Dr. Lloyd previously served as the President for the Florida Association of Institutional Research (FAIR).
